Art is who I am

I have been an artist all my life. Growing up I would turn the kitchen into my gallery and invite my parents to the show of crayon on construction paper and sand collages. In high-school I began making jewelry and tie-dyes, selling them at local art fairs in my home town Berea KY. I also attended Berea college and graduated with a BFA in fiber art. Out of college I began teaching after school art classes in Louisville KY. This lead to creating a program to help under performing schools increase their arts scores in testing as well as writing art curriculum for other schools in need. In 2006 I began working at Preston Arts Center, a locally owned art supply store. For the next 13 years I managed the store front and taught both children and adult art classes. I learned everything I could about so many products, literally thousands. So many possibilities! Teaching gives me a place to share and learn even more about the endless combinations of supplies that come together to form art. Since 2014 I have been an artist and educator for Jacquard Products my favorite fabric dye and paint manufacturer. It was their dyes I started using in high school. I found my fiber roots again! With over 15 years of experience teaching art across all age ranges and multiple platforms including televised and internet production I am bringing my love of art to you here on my website. Gather your friends and host a class, sign up for one of my scheduled classes, purchase some art, or connect like and learn from my youtube Art Min With Lynn.

collect art

Curate your space with art. Any work of art that speaks to you opens your mind to new layers of memory and wonderment. It communicates with your very essence of being. Art helps us recognize our identity by finding connection through sense. My work is a representation of my unique world, love of nature and aesthetic. It seeks to evolve into its own conglomeration of meaning, in a path through others eyes.

Style your life

Style is wearing art. It creates mood and sets a scene for life. I love how wearing something that matches the intention of a day enhances every action and interaction.
